Rebecca grew up in the Seattle area. Her mother got her into film when she was young
watching everything from Hitchcock to Blake Edwards. "One of my favorite memories my
mother shares with me is when she was a little girl spending her allowance on movie
magazines and listening to the Academy Awards on her radio." Rebecca took a job as a
projectionist.
After earning her first IMDb worthy credit in the 2004 Seattle production Far too Gone,
she went on to direct her first two short films, Candy Apple Red and "a subtitled
ending". Rebecca's first foray into directing was a collaborative effort. "I feel as if
everyone helped create these movies. I can't wait to make them into features and hire all
the same people. They were all so amazingly supportive."
When asked why she made the film Candy Apple Red she said "My dreams tell stories I've
only seen. It's time I get them onto the screen. I have wanted to be a director from
birth, now I have my material.”
Rebecca was married August 7th 2005 to artist Jason-Paul Frost. Together in 2006, Jason-
Paul and Rebecca created what is now known as Rebecca Pauline Films.
Currently, Rebecca Pauline is working with her husband, Jason- Paul Frost and friends on
a feature ghost story.
